Each month, staff members at Moberly School District nominate their peers who go above and beyond their job descriptions to help students and other staff members. This month, our team nominated Mr. David Owens, supervisor of the custodial team and member of the maintenance team, to represent support staff.
Here's what Mr. Owens' colleagues had to say about his contributions: "Mr. Owens has done an outstanding job throughout the summer. He worked closely with the maintenance crew, custodians, and summer helpers to ensure the middle school was prepared for both the contractors and the return of our teachers. Dave created efficient systems that allowed his team to move teachers' furniture and classroom materials back into classrooms within just a few days. This was a significant undertaking, especially with the amount of construction happening throughout the building. Dave and his team worked incredibly hard, stayed flexible, and consistently found ways to keep things moving forward. Their efforts played a major role in getting the middle school ready for the start of the school year, and we greatly appreciate everything they accomplished!"
