Each month, staff members at Moberly School District nominate their peers who go above and beyond their job descriptions to help students and other staff members. This month, our team nominated Mr. Mark Hawkins, Engineering and Architecture teacher and MATC.
Here's what Mr. Hawkins' colleagues had to say about him..."Mr. Hawkins is the SkillsUSA sponsor and Architectural & Engineering Design teacher at MATC. He is exceptionally dedicated to students' success, career readiness, and leadership development. Mr. Hawkins' unwavering support and mentorship have led numerous students to achieve state and national recognition in competitive SkillsUSA events, while also instilling the core values of teamwork, integrity, and service. In the classroom, Mr. Hawkins brings architectural and engineering concepts to life through hands-on learning, real-world examples, and industry-aligned instruction. His impact reaches far beyond the classroom -- he offers support to colleagues and regularly volunteers to help create projects such as 3-D printed items for events across the district. Besides all of this, Mark is just a great guy! Mr. Hawkins represents Spartan excellence, and we are proud to nominate him as a Spartan Staff Star!"
