MMS Guest Speaker

Elizabeth Cummings, 7th grader, was a guest speaker in Mrs. Berneking's classroom. Elizabeth discussed the expectations of writing an informational essay after doing research.


GBE Reading Counts Campout Party

Many reading counts awards are being earned these last few months in classrooms with individual awards and incentives and building wide. These students earned a camp out party by earning 100 points during the month of January. Coming up this month all students are working toward a building goal. IF...the entire Gratz Brown Elementary hits 10,000 Reading Counts points...Mrs. Doss will cuddle up and fall in love with a good book-...SPENDING THE NIGHT IN THE LIBRARY READING ALL THE GREAT BOOKS THE STUDENTS THINK SHE NEEDS TO “FALL IN LOVE” WITH!




MATC Car Show

On May 7th, the Moberly Area Technical Center will host a car show to benefit the MATC student organizations.

Go Noodle Plus @ GBE!

Ms. Katelyn Wright's classroom getting active with Go Noodle Plus on a cold day-- when we cannot get outside as much. This was funded by our Wellness Grant and allows our students to have movement breaks and used brain based learning strategies within the classroom.

Super-Grant Applications!!

The Moberly Public Schools Foundation is now accepting Super-Grant Applications. The Super-Grants provide up to $1,000 for teachers to do projects that otherwise would not be possible due to cost. Winter is here and with it comes the possibility of weather that could prevent the safe transportation of students to school. An inclement weather letter is being sent home with students today, November 24th. You may also view the letter by clicking on the link below.
